This post embodies all that I believe in deep down and reflects what I aim to achieve through my life and through this blog. To encourage others to take action to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. To look after and love one another and to have compassion on vulnerable, innocent children who are too often out of sight and out of mind.
I hope to inspire all of you to find a way to make a difference in the lives of young children, no matter how small or insignificant you may think the action to be.
Whether it’s donating to a charity against human trafficking or simply offering a word of encouragement, you are not only heaping blessings on that child, but also storing up for yourself treasures in heaven, that money can’t buy.
A while ago, whilst at a church prayer meeting, I had an overwhelming need to write this.
Why is no one fighting for me she cries?
Nobody there to wipe her tired little eyes
I guess it’s just too much for some
To give up these wordly treasures here;
Focus on me, don’t let me disappear.
Little girl, so fragile with fear
One day, I’ll wipe away every tear
Your Father above, abounding with love,
So proud and delighted in His precious one.
My people should be fighting, standing up for the least,
Fragile bird hold your head up, one day soon, I will come
If this poem has touched your heart, I would urge you to take action. Life’s way too short not to help others and when you lift someone up, you yourself will be lifted higher than you could ever imagine.
I am grateful for writing which enables me to strongly express what I care about in such an emotive way. If you would like to share something you’ve written which is about social justice, please leave it in the comments below!
